We support and celebrate diversity by creating an environment that invites all cultures, races, religions, and expressions of gender and sexual orientation to be a part of our educational community.

Once upon a time, I became a new parent. And like most new parents, I faced the reality of going back to work after my parenting leave was exhausted. I began to research and tour different preschools and quickly learned that not all preschools were created equal. The schools I toured in NYC fell short of my expectations for what a 21st century learning environment should look and feel like. The programs lacked creativity; there was little room for kids to explore their world and interests through imagination and hands-on activities. In the end, I settled on a school that was "good enough."
Fast forward several years and add two more kids to the picture, I decided to take matters into my own hands, making sure that no parent had to settle on a school for their child that was just “good enough.” I went back to school for a master’s in early childhood education and launched a successful preschool in NYC. The school was everything I had imagined and more. My team and I had built a school that had soul—we laughed, we learned, and we came together as a community. However, there was a downside; I was bound by a corporate vision that did not align with my educational philosophy and core values. In the end, I sold my business and decided to bring my vision of next generation learning to life.
In 2020, City Kids was born in Brooklyn, NY and my family keeps growing. Welcome to the City Kids family!
